This policy explains what BabySharks collects when you use babysharks.club, how it’s used, and the choices you have. The Terms of Service cover the rules for using the site.
Shark names, bios, photos, shark types, linked social usernames, records, badges, follower counts and picks are visible to other visitors. Picks from a Shark with Hide My Picks turned on stay hidden until each game locks, shortly before kickoff. Shiver games are visible only to that Shiver’s members. Your username can appear alongside the Sharks you manage. Your email address is never shown to other users.
We don’t sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t use advertising trackers. We rely on a few service providers to run the site, and they handle data only to provide their service to us: a cloud database and sign-in provider (which also stores profile photos), a web hosting provider, and an email delivery service.
Sponsored banners are plain images and links. Clicking one takes you to the sponsor’s own site, which has its own privacy practices. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
You must be 18 or older to have a BabySharks account. A Baby Shark profile for a child is created and managed by that adult from their own account, and we recommend using a nickname rather than a child’s full name. We don’t knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, or you want a child’s profile removed, contact us and we’ll delete it.
We keep your information while your account is open. You can edit or delete any of your Sharks at any time, and you can delete your whole account from Account Settings → Scuttle Account.
Scuttling deletes your login and email address, every Shark you own with everything tied to it (picks, records, badges, followers and photos), and your help requests. Your Sharks are removed from leaderboards and Shiver games. A Shiver you’re the only admin of is handed to another member. Copies can remain in our providers’ backups and logs for a limited time before they’re overwritten.
The site is served only over encrypted connections, passwords are stored hashed, and access to stored data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
BabySharks doesn’t track you across other websites, so browser Do Not Track signals don’t change how the site works.
If this policy changes, we’ll update the effective date at the top of this page, and we’ll let you know on the site if a change is significant.
